BrainAbouts
Role:
Lead UX Designer
Team:
Lead UX Designer + UX Designers (3) + Developers (3)
In association with the John Fontaine Jr Charity, I led the redesign of the BrainAbouts platform. Initially a solo effort, I later led a team of three designers to complete the project. My primary objective was to restructure the information architecture and introduce a distinctive visual design. Through individual interviews with previous users, we developed distinct personas that heavily influenced the new design. The result is BrainAbouts 2.0, a user-centric toolbox that elevates the educational experience for children, parents, teachers, counselors, and the BrainAbouts team nationwide.

SCENARIO
Editing a School Plan
School Leads, often serving as content management delegators for their respective schools, play a pivotal role in overseeing the customization of the school plan. This plan functions as a blueprint, allowing schools to tailor and manipulate it to suit their specific educational needs.

SCENARIO
Adding an Activity
For school leads, the ability to spontaneously generate new content for both the present and upcoming months is just as crucial as editing the school's plan. Being able to add activities allows schools to deviate from BrainAbouts' pre-existing modules of learning when necessary.
